Iron absorption was increased significantly after the administration of a single oral dose of either iron as ferric citrate or iron as ferrous fumarate in concentrations of 2, 5, 10, and 20 mg/kg of body weight. These oral doses are equivalent to 3, 8, 17, and 34 mg/kg of body weight of iron, respectively. In contrast, a single dose of either ferric or ferrous sulfate, in a dosage of 20 mg/kg of body weight, produced minimal absorption. The absorption of iron was not increased after the administration of a single oral dose of the iron binding protein transferrin, in dosages of 4, 16, or 32 mg/kg of body weight. Ferrous sulfate is absorbed slightly more than ferric sulfate when compared at equivalent dosages of 3 mg/kg of body weight. When 2, 5, 10, and 20 mg of ferric citrate or ferrous fumarate were given as a single parenteral injection (20 mg/kg of body weight) there was a significant increase in iron absorption over that observed after the oral doses. The results indicate that acute parenteral administration of a single oral dose of iron or iron bound to transferrin results in significant absorption. A single injection of iron causes increased absorption as compared with a single oral dose. However, multiple injections are likely to be required to maintain iron stores and to prevent iron deficiency anemia.Misophonia or the hatred of sounds A time to love and a time to hate… As a child, my parents punished me, sometimes with a belt, for playing my electric piano during the evening. To this day, a boudoir music video with soft instrumental sounds of a piano is still a sound I hate. Misophonia is a term referring to a hatred of certain sounds, usually belonging to people. So, as children, we usually love to hate those other people with all their annoying sounds, but still we hate it. In this way, we can imitate them. But of course, our teachers are well aware that this is not something that goes well with school. I remember that in my childhood, people at home would be complaining about each other, and in the end, we ended up yelling and screaming in the room ac619d1d87
